The resource pack enables developers to add water in minutes through three core components: water surface, underwater, and waves. It features sane and balanced defaults, with multiple example scenes covering a wide range of use cases. Key features include a state-of-the-art LOD system for optimal performance, an innovative "equalizer" style wave authoring system supporting both FFT and Gerstner waves, and a "wave spline" technology that provides detailed control over water simulations, including rivers, lakes, and shorelines. The system simulates light transport with reflection, refraction, scattering, caustics, and shadowing.
