 Volumetric Lights 2 HDRP v6.8.10 introduces next-generation volumetric lighting for the High Definition Rendering Pipeline. It features advanced capabilities such as translucency shadow maps, direct light casting, and real-time shadow occlusion with optional baking and distance culling for improved performance. The pack supports point, spot, disc, and rectangular lights, with partial support for directional lights via a volumetric area light that dynamically syncs with directional light properties. The effect can be applied to any light or used independently as virtual volumetric lights with the "Always On" option. Key features include smooth or 3D noise-based volumetric effects, profile-based settings for shared configurations, real-time volumetric rendering, customizable boundaries and shapes, light attenuation modes (linear, quadratic, custom), and performance controls with downscaling and blur. Dust particles with distance attenuation, animated colored cookies, and customizable light color and range are also supported. Includes three demo scenes, including one inspired by the Parthenon temple, along with online and PDF documentation. Compatible with Unity 2021.3 or later, supporting both perspective and orthographic cameras, as well as Timeline/Animation. Available on Windows and Mac.
