 The Visual Engine | Terrain Blanket Module v21.5.0 (15 Mar 2026) introduces a powerful tool for conforming and aligning large patches of grass or groups of rocks to terrain surfaces. The module allows these elements to dynamically adapt to the terrain's surface and normal direction, using pre-baked pivots to treat each sub-mesh as an individual object. This enables efficient coverage of large areas with fewer grass objects or allows objects like roots to be applied as 3D mesh decals that seamlessly follow the terrain. The Terrain Blanket module works in conjunction with the Terrain Shaders module to achieve seamless object-to-terrain blending. It supports the following render pipelines: Standard Render Pipeline 2021.3+, Universal Render Pipeline 2021.3+ / 2022.3+ / 6000.0+, and HD Render Pipeline 2021.3+ / 2022.3+ / 6000.0+. The latest version of The Visual Engine is required for full functionality.
