Volumetric Lights 2 is the next generation of volumetric lighting and successor to the original Volumetric Lights. It is now compatible with Unity 2022 and Unity 6 (also supports Unity 2021). The resource pack includes advanced features such as translucency shadow maps, direct light casting, cached shadows, and numerous improvements.
Volumetric Lights 2 is a fast, flexible, and visually impressive light scattering solution designed for both the Built-in and Universal Rendering Pipeline (URP). It enhances scene lighting with just a few clicks.
Supported light types include:
- Point lights

- Disc shape lights
- Rectangular lights
The effect is easy to use: simply add the VolumetricLight script to any light and customize it. The effect automatically adapts to the light's type, angle, range, and color, extending it with new volumetric features. It can also be used without a light source by disabling the light and enabling the "Always On" option in the Volumetric Light script.
