LUMINA GI 2024: Real-Time Voxel Global Illumination v2.6.1 (20 Apr 2026) introduces a voxel-based real-time global illumination system designed for the Universal Render Pipeline. This system delivers true voxel-based lighting without requiring baking, material changes, or SDF solutions. It supports real-time light changes with infinite bounces and fast convergence, enabling dynamic lighting scenarios with soft shadows and fading edges from mesh-based light sources. The system is fully stable off-screen and maintains performance with optimizations achieving up to 420fps on a Radeon 6750XT GPU. It integrates with the Sky Master ULTIMATE time of day, volumetric clouds, and lighting systems, and includes an ambient occlusion module and world-space voxel-based reflections. A fluid fire and smoke module is planned for future release. The system is compatible with Unity 2022.3 and later, including Unity 6.3 LTS, using the included sample pipeline and native URP voxelizer. It is optimized for Windows desktop development on high-performance machines and is designed to work with the new URP RenderGraph. This is the first version of LUMINA GI 2024, with ongoing development and feature enhancements planned. The system is based on the open-source SEGI project originally developed for the Standard BIRP Pipeline. New demos are available in Forward+ mode, including scenes with volumetric lighting and painterly effects, as well as interactive room and optimization demos.
